ABOUT THE ARTIST
Katsiaryna Parukava is a professional artist working primarily in oil painting, with a focus on realism and contemporary figurative painting. She was born in Belarus. In 2009, she graduated from art school and began her professional artistic practice. She currently lives and works in the eastern United States.

Her professional experience in the field of visual arts spans over 10 years. Since 2020, she has actively participated in exhibition art projects and has also served as a member of professional juries for art competitions. The artist’s works are held in private collections in the CIS countries, Europe, The United Kindom, Australia and Canada.

In her practice, Katsiaryna Parukava combines classical painting traditions with contemporary artistic thinking, paying particular attention to the accuracy of form, light and shadow, and the emotional state of the artistic image.

The animal world and the surrounding nature are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me. Through realism, I explore not only the external form, but also the emotional depth of the image. Painting, for me, is a space in which the viewer can slow down and perceive subtle meanings through the eyes of the artist.

My work is united by the idea of a deep connection between humans and animals — humanity and the animal world are not opposites, but two interconnected destinies on one planet.

I strive to convey their gaze and individuality in a way that allows the viewer to feel not just an image, but a living presence. By creating works in which the inner nature of animals — their character and state — is revealed, I invite a more attentive perception of the world and an awareness of beauty in what may seem ordinary, yet fleeting moments.
